What is an Escape Room?
An Escape Room, Exit Game oder Live Escape Game is a new and exciting free-time as well as team-building activity in which you and your team are locked inside of a themed room for 60 minutes. The goal is to find clues and combine items in order to escape the room.
Who can play Escape Rooms?
Anyone! Big Break Hamburg is perfect for family, friends, couples and tourists as well as for corporate events. For the games Jailbreak, Insomnia and Time Travel, we ask that children under 14 be accompanied by an adult. The Toy Maker is playable for players ages 16 and up.
How many people can participate?
To book a room you simply need a team of 2-8 people. Groups size depends on the game: Jailbreak (2-8 people), Insomnia (2-6 people), Time Travel (2-7 people) and The Toy Maker (2-6 people). Simply find a free slot in our online booking calendar. Larger teams have the opportunity to book two or more slots at the same time. How long does an Escape Game last?
The game is booked for a 60min time period. In this time you will be solving puzzles and riddles in order to escape. We ask that you please arrive 15min beforehand for a short introduction and welcome. Afterwards there is a short wrap-up discussion that relates to true stories and information we have built into the game.
How can I book an Escape Room?
You can book directly online using our convenient online booking system. A confirmation will be sent to you by email directly after booking.
When can I book an Escape Room?
For your convenience, we are open seven days a week (Monday-Friday 1:00pm-11:00pm, Saturday 10:00am-11:00pm and Sunday 10:00am-10:00pm). You can be book anytime online through out convenient online booking system. To see available time slots, please click here.
Can I get to Big Break Hamburg with public transportation?
Thanks to its very central location, it is very easy to use public transportation to get to Big Break Hamburg.
- With the subway U1 to the stop called „Meßberg“ and then a 2 minute walk to Big Break Hamburg.
- With the subway U3 to the stop called „Rathaus“ and then a 5 minute walk Big Break Hamburg.
- With the subway U2 or U4 to the stop called „Jungfernstieg“ and then an 8 minute walk to Big Break Hamburg.
- With the bus numbers 602, M4 or M6 to the stop called „Brandstwiete“and then a 1 minute walk to Big Break Hamburg.
Where can I park?
The parking garage called „Parkhaus Große Reichenstraße“ (Address: Große Reichenstraße 14, 20457 Hamburg) is a 1 minute walk away from Big Break Hamburg. Please note the cost (3 €/h) and the opening hours of the garage. There is also metered parking available on the street.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
There is nothing you need to prepare or bring with you except for a positive attitude and some team-spirit.
Is there an Escape Game dress-code?
There is no dress code at Big Break Hamburg. Please come dressed in whatever you feel most comfortable.
Does Big Break Hamburg offer refreshments?
We are delighted to serve you a cold or warm beverage in our reception area before or after the game. Alcoholic drinks are however not provided.
Are the Escape Games available in different languages?
To best serve our international customers, our Room Escape Game is offered in both German and English, although little language skill is required to participate. We recommend that you have basic knowledge in one of these languages to play.
